Now that the clocks have gone back an hour and the evenings draw in becoming colder and darker, Autumn is well and truly here and Winter is fast approaching. That, however, doesn’t stop the ATBoarders crew from enjoying the spooky woods.

Dream Teas & Jam 2022 @ Bugs Boarding, Maisemore, Gloucester.
After a long day of working from Emlyn’s house, struggling to concentrate through dreams of France and Emlyn tearing apart his room trying to find his passport, we finally got on the road. First we rendezvoused with Amon and Ayla, who loaded up the car with boards, tents and passenger merchandise. Next we zipped on down to Portsmouth where we met up with the very excited Brind Bro's in the Morrisons car park!
ATBoarders were recently invited down to Devon to try out the latest gadgets from the APEX Boards crew. But who actually are APEX Boards and what are they bringing to the mountainboard scene...
One thing that has frequently been brought up in discussions recently, is how do we get new, young riders into the sport. Ash, Nath and Skully went to visit one man in Northern England who is on a mission to introduce mountainboarding to his local community.

As I calm myself down from the awesome weekend I just had at 2022 UK champs (more on this soon), as well as watching ATBoarder’s Will, Bish and Sarah (as well as a host of UK riders) having what looked like an amazing time at the French Champs (more on that later) it got me thinking, about what has happened to the UK scene, and where is it going?

The concluding round of the 2005 Tantrum ATBA-UK National Championships had arrived, the weather was good, the track was fast, and the riding was sweet.
We arrived early Friday morning to the glorious sunshine and clear skies that looked to be with us for the whole weekend.
After a journey that was for most people by far the longest, we arrived at Dunkeld, a small town in the Scottish countryside
Russians, French, Americans, Brits, A New Zealander…. No I’m not talking about the G8 summit, there’s only one thing I’m referring to, and it isn’t the meeting of the world’s greatest politicians. I’m talking about the meeting of the world’s greatest freestyle mountainboarders.
As we are now getting into the hot season for ATB I’ve been looking at how good comps are for the sport and how they could be improved to help the sport progress.
At the end of a long drive, in a somewhat over-laden car, with temperatures outside reaching 28C and temperatures inside a considerable amount more, the arrival at 11pm to a darkened field in the depths of West Sussex was a huge relief.
